SKYDIVE

I got the idea for this project while watching the movie expandables 3. In that movie, a drone was used which was capable of flying as well as driving. Seeing that I got interested in it and decided to make one of my own. Taking the idea from it, I decided to design something different, something innovative and also being a big transformers fan I started thinking about a practical design in which the car can convert or transform into a quadcopter. After much thinking, I came up with a design in which the wheeled car transforms into a quadcopter.

The working mechanism is the same as that of a monowheel.

In this case, the motor is attached to a gear mechanism and the gear is pressed against the inner part of the wheel.

 

A separate motor for all the 4 wheels, just for driving.

The wheel diameter will be according to the length of the propeller and in this case, it must be close to 9 inches so that  a 7inch propeller could fit in without touching the inner sides of the wheel

This design for holding the servo motor is just for demonstration and for getting a feel for how this mechanism would work. But the design of the prototype will be completely different 

There will also be an inclusion of a hinge mechanism in the final design so that the wheel can rotate only 90 degrees. i.e no further movement will be possible after a 90-degree rotation of the servo motor
