Magpix

Magpix is a ferrofluid display, comprising of a large number of electromagnets arranged in a matrix form. I envision it to display complex images and characters. Each Row and column will have a separate ferrofluid pump so that the required amount can be supplied according to the requirement. The Electromagnets used will be very small in diameter, so as to get a higher pixel density. The design of the outer cover would either be wooden or somewhat similar to the old Apple iMac G3 design. I think the transparent outer cover will be better because it would be really cool to see all the electronics inside the device.
